Mrs. Omololu idowu Adesina was born on the 20th of February 1961 in Zaria, Nigeria.  She attended University of Lagos, Akoka, between 1980 – 1984 and she was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1985.  She did her Youth Corps service at the Directorate of Public Prosecution, Lagos State Ministry of Justice between 1985 – 1986.  She worked in several Law Firms namely:  Bola Akinleye & Co., Akinlolu Akiode & Co., Libra Law Office, Lolu Adesina & Co. she started her Civil Service Career as a Principal Legal Officer at the Lagos Building Investment Company Limited in 1991.  She rose through the ranks to become the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser.   In 2006, she was transferred to Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Office of the Administrator General & Public Trustee as an Assistant Director.  In 2007, she was transferred to Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperatives, she was the Deputy-Director, (Legal Service)s.  In 2012, she was transferred back to the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Directorate for Citizens’ Rights.  In December 2017, she was confirmed as the Director/Head of the Directorate for Citizens’ Rights and now Director, Public Advice Centre.

Mrs. Adesina was the Chairperson, Co-operative Arbitration Panel, she initiated the process of change of Ownership of unregistered flats in the Low-Cost Housing Estates thereby creating Revenue for the State, Arbitrating on Disputes between Members Cooperative Societies, she has also Mediated several cases successfully, Legal Representation in the Court of Law.  She has delivered several Lectures, including Emerging Fraudulent and Unauthorized Practices in Cooperatives Societies March – 2010, Essentials of a Will – March 2010, Emerging Problems of Cooperative Societies – March 2010.

Mrs. Adesina has attended quite a number of courses including, Conference on the review of the High Court of Lagos (Civil Procedure) Rules, Workshop on the Lagos Multi Door Court House, NBA and IBA Annual General Conferences, the 4th National Summit of Stakeholders in the Administration of Justice, 62nd Annual Short Courses for Prosecuting attorney (North Western School of Law Chicago), conflict Resolution Course (Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria), Advanced Mediation Skills Training (Consensus Building Institute), Stakeholders Summit on “Magistracy & Justice Sector Reform, Fraud Prevention Course.

Mrs. Adesina is the Alternate Chairman, Domestic & Sexual Violence Response Team, Lagos State. She is a Member of Governing Council of the Citizens Mediation Centre.  She is an Accredited Mediator of the Lagos Multi Door Court House.  She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Member of the International Bar Association, Member, U.K. Mediators, Member, Lagos Court of Arbitration, Member of the Institute of Management, Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria, She is a Widow with children and her interests include Reading and Singing.
