Mrs. Oluyemisi Adefoluke Ogunlola joined the service of Lagos State as a Legal Officer in October 1994.  She graduated from the University of Lagos in 1989 and observed her mandatory National Youth Service in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice Ibadan, after being called to the Nigerian Bar in December, 1990.

Her career in the service of Lagos State took her through the Ministry of Justice, Lagos State House of Assembly, Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) before her recent deployment to the Directorate of Legislative Drafting.

Mrs. Ogunlola’s experience in the area of law making spans a period of 13 years, beginning in the Directorate of Legislative Drafting as a Legal Officer in 1994. During her period of service in LAWMA, she acted as a general counsel with a wide scope of schedule covering general legal advisory, managing commercial transactions, project management and business development amongst others.  This opportunity gave her considerable exposure to various subject matters which facilitated her journey towards becoming a rounded professional.

Mrs. Yemisi Ogunlola had a stint with Civil Litigation during her service year and also after her deployment from Lagos State House of Assembly to the Ministry of Justice in 2007. While in LASTMA, apart from providing able defence for most of the civil actions brought against the agency she was able to resolve most petitions and prevent an increase in court cases. She also reviewed the enforcement procedure through the introduction of the Protocol for Traffic Law Enforcement and commenced the system of prosecuting traffic law violators.

Mrs. Ogunlola who holds a Master’s degree in Legislative Drafting from the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies has been privileged to attend various trainings and Conferences which have molded her career.
