Kolawole Rasaki Omotayo (Mr.) is the Director in charge of Finance & Accounts in the Ministry of Justice, Lagos State.

He was born on 4th April, 1962 to the family of Pa Moshood Kolawole  Ottun of Ijebu-Ode in Ijebu Ode Local Government Council of Ogun State.

He attended St. Saviours’ Primary School, Italowajoda, Ijebu-Ode between 1966 and 1972 and then proceeded to Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu-Ode for his Secondary Education from 1973 to 1978.

He then proceeded to University of Ife, Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) for his first degree in Biochemistry from 1979 to 1984.

After his Youth Service in Borno State, he was employed by the Lagos State Government as a Chemistry Teacher in 1985and left in 1993.

He became a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 1994 after passing all the qualifying exams of the Institute in May 1992. He has worked in many private organisations from 1994 until when he was employed by the Lagos State Civil Service Commission on 4th February, 2004 as Principal Accountant.

Since his appointment, he has worked in various Ministries among which are State Treasury Office, Lagos State Waterways Authority, Lands Bureau and Teachers Establishment and Pensions Office from where he was posted to the Ministry of Justice as the Director of Finance & Accounts.

He is presently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a Masters in Business Administration degree holder from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.

He is happily married with children.
