Kayode Oyekanmi is a Brand Communications Practitioner whose professional experience spans over two decades. He has had requisite professional experience in private sector organizations, which include Global Export, Advertising and Public Relations.
His public service career as a Communication and Information management practitioner began in year 2000 with the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy.
From where he was deployed to serve the then First Lady of Lagos State, Senator, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, OON, as a Speech Writer and later as her Manager of Information and Communication.
In year 2007, Mr. Oyekanmi was again deployed to serve as Press Secretary to the First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, a position he held till the completion of the eight-year tenure of the Babatunde Raji Fashola administration in 2015. Thereafter, he was made Head of Lagos Island Information Division of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, from where he moved to the Ministry of Home Affairs and now Ministry of Justice.
Mr. Olukayode Oyekanmi, holds a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Lagos and a Bachelors’ degree in English from Lagos State University. He has over the years attended professional, capacity enhancing courses within and outside Nigeria.
An active member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). Mr. Oyekanmi is a voracious reader and a passionate Lawn Tennis Player.
